Clare Market

The Domesday Book records the fact there was a market in Clare in 1086 although it is highly likely that the market is even older than that.  The current market cannot boast the 70 plus different ‘trades’ (not ‘stalls’) of medieval times but there are now over 20 regular stalls, with many stallholders living locally.

Stalls include fruit, vegetables, bread, cakes, pies, plants, honey, beer and gifts and more, with many stallholders living in Clare or the local area.

During the summer there is live music, children’s entertainment and special offers. Follow us on Facebook for up to date information and a monthly list of stallholders Clare Market | Facebook or email for further information.
