Clare Tour Guides
You can join a Clare Tour Guided Walk (c 1½ miles and lasting about an hour and a half), every Saturday from Easter until the end of October, starting in Clare Castle Country Park at 1.30pm.
The tour covers some of the events, buildings and people from the Norman invasion in 1066 to the present day including: the aristocrats with close royal connections who built and owned the castle for about 400 years, some of the Listed Buildings (including the medieval Church and Priory), and other people who contributed to what can be seen today.
There is a charge of £5 per person (under 18s are free) and places can be booked at the Tour Guides website or at the Visitor Centre in Clare Castle Country Park.
For specific groups who want a standard or tailored tour these can be arranged throughout the year at times to be agreed.
Speakers can also be provided to give illustrated talks for societies/groups at their own venues.
