Our Current Work

At present, we have a transport section in which volunteer drivers in their own cars take people on necessary journeys to hospitals, doctors and for many other purposes.

We provide a Senior Centre on Wednesday at Clare Community Centre at which senior citizens can enjoy a midday meal and companionship, together with entertainment and outings.  This is a whole day event from morning coffee until afternoon tea.

We have a visiting & voluntary service section whose members undertake friendship visits to sick or housebound people, visit people in hospital and provide other personal support in time of trouble.  We operate a minibus with a low step and wheelchair ramp to make travel easy for mobility impaired people.  This is used for taking people to and from Monday and Friday centres, Wednesday senior centre and for a variety of outing

PARTY IN THE PARK 2018 – Saturday 7 July 2018

PARTY IN THE PARK 2018 takes place on SATURDAY 7 JULY 2018 between 12 noon and 6pm.  As in the last two very successful years, the Party will take place in Clare Castle Country Park. The CCA Committee is working hard to make this year’s event even bigger and more fun than last year’s event. There are a few changes this year to make the Party fresh.  We are replacing the Dog Show with a Dog Agility competition.  There will be more live music on the stage this year.  We have also had a re-think about the food options but don’t worry – there will be plenty of options for food and drink.  If you fancy watching a bit of ferret racing then look no further!  The lambs will be making a popular return. The Party is taking shape and promises to be great fun – and entrance is still free!
